Going on vacation

Well mum is here and my sister arrives this afternoon and then we are off to DC and then the Eastern Shore for some R&R and whatever else we may want to do. I will be gone for a week so take care of the place and keep it going. See you guys in ten days!!!!!

It has been over 5 days with out Miz Pez, I hope she is doing well, but I am missing her.

I am back. I have such a lovely bronze tan now....Wow! It was amazing. Washington DC was fun but mom tuckered out halfway through our monument tour so while my daughter and sister did the Lincoln Memorial, mom and I sat by the reflection pond making fun aof people...Not really...we were checking out all the soccer players that play league in the park on Saturdays! Then...we went back to our hotel and I was thinking man there are hardly any people here (I was awaiting the elevator to tak me up to my room) I had no sooner thought that and suddenly the front lobby doors fling open and In flock about 45 british men for some conference; my guess is computers, simply based on their dress. I started banging the elevator button faster in order to avoid getting stuck in an elevator with a bunch of men. But, to no avail. I was wedged in with about 12 men and myself.

then we went to the Eastern Shore. We were originally going to stay near Cape Charles but the hotel I booked us at had been bought by a private owner and the place was a dump. I am talking carcases up and down the beach, brokern glass and even an IV bag. Yeah...nice. So, we cancelled the rest of that stay and headed north to Chincoteague Island where the wild ponies are. It was absolutely fantastic. We were right on main st. Our room overlooked the pool and the Chesapeake Bay. We drove out to Asateague to see the ponies and the beach was gorgeous. It was just a lot of fun with the locals. I took mom to a bar and taught her to play darts. We played steel darts with these two contractors. Mom actually drank two margaritas. Then I took my sister out one night and we had a great time. I only paid for one round and the rest was covered by some very nice gentlemen. I will be going back there. You guys should check out their web site. I dont know what it is but if you put in Chincoteague or Asateague Island.....

If you see me posting on the board, know that I am at work. I am completely unplugged at home. By choice. I have too much to do on the farm unfortunately but I like the kind of work on the farm that I do.

It was a nice time. We plan to make the trip annually if possible. Perhaps over Labor Day starting maybe next year.
